wasn't Joseph on waivers? I think Hughes has less interest in him than he values both draft capital and glue players like Evans. Plus, with Barron playing well and Mailloux coming into Laval there is less and less space for a rhd that doesn't blow them away. I think they'd say no for these reasons, but it's hockey. Anything can happen.

Was he on waivers? I definitely never noticed that he was but I’m not saying it didn’t happen. Also he’s a LHD not a RHD, but idk what MTL depth is on the other side. I was just thinking that he’s a young puck moving defenseman and a team like MTL that is still a young team not in a playoff window yet would prefer to have that than a 26 year old bottom 6 player (not saying he’s not good, there is a reason I want him)

What would u want in return in a deal where we trade away POJ and receive Evans back? Cause I’ll admit I’m a bit low on POJ because he is pretty light and not good at playing defense in front of his own net.

I am also not that high on POJ and would like us to sign a Ryan Graves type dmen and run Ty Smith, but POJ is still very young and is a useful dmen, so hes worth more than a bottom 6 center and 2 4ths. I would think at least a 2nd or something of that value would be coming back the other way

burying Desmith to sign Jones is making my head hurt.

The 3rd line is a bit better but the top 6 is worse. Defense is a bit better but goaltending is worse. Overlal I think it evens out and we're looking at a pretty similar team to last year
