laugh Potentially 20 years of Bedard for 1 year each of Matthews and Nylander, How can Kyle Davidson turn that down? shakes head

Matthews has scored more goals than anyone since entering the league. He has averaged over 50 goals per 82 games. Think about that.

20 years of Bedard? So he’ll just keep signing contracts but Matthews and Nylander will bolt the first chance they get. Dumb.

Yeah Matthews probably bolts to go home to LA and Nylander somewhere else. No reason for either to stay with Chicago with no Bedard on the team.

Why would they? According to their own GM Kyle Davidson that team isn't going anywhere for a long time. At least Toronto is making the playoffs. Chicago with both Matthews and Nylander are still bottom feeders.

I hope you are enjoying fantasizing. What those 2 have done in the playoffs so far KD should tell the new Leaf GM to lose his number.

you don't stay a bottom feeder for 20 years to rebuild. You make smart trades, draft and sign UFA'a. With Mathews and Nylander and UFA's they complete a rebuild in 2 years and become a playoff contender

How many years did it take MacKinnon to win a cup? Ovechkin? Stamkos? Guess they should have been traded before then. I mean 13 years for Ovi?

You HOPE Bedard is as good as Matthews. More goals than ANY NHL player since he entered the league. ANYONE.

He's from California and grew up in Scottsdale Arizona. Being from California is what i meant. I could care less of LA i meant his home is still California.

Come on man, When has any team in NHL history even completed a rebuild in 2 years? It took Edmonton like 12 years to rebuild. And they still have 0 cups to show for it.

So why isn’t Bedard going to Vancouver when he’s 26? Why would he want to stay in the murder capitol of the US?

😂😂😂 stop trading for bedard won’t happen. We can give matthews a contract so that cancels out. Chicago wants to rebuild NOT become competitive for 2-4 years than fall apart again as of nylander and matthews would make us that. Just stop for real leaf fans it’s pretty embarrassing

Whether you think they re-sign with Chicago or not. Chicago can KEEP bedard, wait like 2 years then sign matthews. Use your brain bro

Ok, first I will admit that I posted last night after I had a few. This morning doesn’t seem quite as bad. But still do not think it is a trade to consider. Mathews has been a force that any team would love to have on their team in the regular season. In the post season he has underwhelmed thus far. Bedard hasn’t arrived in the NHL yet but everyone who has seen him play agrees with how much potential & how high his ceiling is. I do HOPE you are correct. I believe that KD also HOPES & would not say yes to the deal presented.
You present a very strong point when you bring up Ovi. I might say that although the Caps took a long time to get over the hump once they got him, he personally produced but didn’t have enough help. Others are welcome to disagree of course.

Toews loved staying in murder capital instead of going to Winnipeg. He might have some insight on how Bedard could come to love Chicago. We should probably be asking him instead of random guy on this website.

CHI absolutely declines. I wouldn't trade Raddysh and 8 years of Bedard for a few years of Matthews and Nylander. I'm not even going to address the "murder capitol" comments, because they are just ignorant oversimplifications that require a thoughtful response that I don't even think you would be receptive to.

It doesn’t make sense for Chicago or Toronto. Chicago isn’t Matthews away from competing and Toronto isn’t going to risk Bedard turning out very good and not great while also having to wait. Toronto’s window is now. Which is why it’s funny that everyone thinks they are going to trade Matthews, Marner and Nylander.

Tavares loves Toronto. Reilly signed long term. Matthews has publicly stated that he wants to stay in Toronto…Why are you ignoring this and pretending they want to take the first train out? Funny how Matthews was always going to leave for Arizona untill…now it’s time for all the fools to pick a new destination to troll Leaf fans.

Bedard isn’t going to be traded and Toronto definitely isn’t trading Matthews AND Nylander for him. It’s completely ridiculous when you think if it but all the made up fantasies of them leaving in a year give everyone there dopamine fix for the day.
