Description

NYR-ARZ-WPG 3-way deal:

NYR Trades: Stepan+Skeij+Raanta Receives: Trouba+Comrie+#7OA
WPG Trades: Trouba+Comrie Receives: Keller+Skeij+Raanta
ARZ Trades: Keller+#7OA Receives: Stepan

Is the deal balanced and if not who isn't it balanced for?
Way I see it, NYR gets the 23 year old #1RHD whos top 10 in the league possession wise, a young up and coming goalie and the 7th OA pick which could be a very good young C or D
while losing a good LHD, a #1/2C and 6M in cap space, and a backup goalie.
ARZ gets their #1C, CAP isn't an issue for them but they lose the #7 Draft pick and Keller who could become a #1/2C .

The deal would obviously have to be based on Trouba signed to a long term extension but that would solve NYR's #1RHD to play beside McDonaugh for the next 7 eyars.

So ARZ gives up the best prospect not in the NHL and #7 in the draft for Stepan? No chance.

To make this deal make sense Stepan would have to go to Winnipeg and Scheifele would go to the Yotes. But why would Winnipeg do that.

So deal looks like
Wpg- Stepan, Raanta, Keller and Skjei
Yotes- Scheifele
NYR- Trouba, Cormie and 7OA

Thats fair value but not sure any of the teams do it.

yeah....as a Jets fan I have to admit this deal is very unfair for Arizona.
