Description
This isn't a year to contend or anything, more so a step in the right direction. Obviously this only happens if Sens aren't able to re-sign Debrincat which is rumoured to be a possibility and if that's the case I think the Nucks should jump all over that. Next year's priorities would be to re-sign Pettersson with cutbacks and Hronek and potentially Beauvillier, as well as upgrading defence and bottom 6 with added salary cap.

Even with 1 year left and ANH having a lot of cap, ANH could get a lot more in a cap dump for myers given they are one of only a couple of teams with financial flexibility

Way too much for DeBrincat, And it's extremely doubtful he'd leave Ottawa for Vancouver.

I guess, but I still think Myers is a serviceable defenceman and Anaheim's defence really isn't the greatest. I think this is a win-win for both sides

20 man roster with no cap? But you've demonstrated why there are so few offer sheets (or trades like this). You've paid DeBrincat UFA money and then giving up good assets (two great picks) to acquire him. Just spend that 9m or whatever on a UFA and keep those picks and young assets.

I'd be pretty surprised if the Canucks were willing to give up their 1st this year at all, let alone everything else
