Hawks wince at losing Murphy's leadership, but say yes because it accelerates the rebuild, and Murph deserves a chance to win.

The only trade the Leafs would make is the Robertson one, and Dallas wouldn’t

Am I missing something on the sharks deal? Or was that a mistake? Gadjovich at best is a 5th/6th round pick in next years draft not this years.

VAN declines unless they can get a 2C, they want to compete and if they make that trade Nils Aman is the 2C which just won't fly. I also sense that they would not be comfortable dealing a core piece for a rental who doesn't produce in the big moments.

In the Hawks deal, lose the 4th and 7th and the 2nd going back would be more like the NYR. Murphy is a late 1st value and probably a small add. Murray dump (when you get serious Leafs fans) is not the Hawks 2nd for the Boston 1st.
Patches liked this.

Don't worry, no GM in their right mind would ever trade for a guy who's getting paid as much as Miller for the next 8 years. He's not ever going to be traded.

7 years and his contract isn't as terrible as people think, $8M for a guy who plays at a point per game, kills penalties and makes players around him better is fair value imo

I pull the trigger as a Hawks fan. I’m hoping this off-season to pick up another two 1st rd picks. This does that in a single trade, and without us having to trade a 1st back. Losing our own 2nd hurts, in a draft this deep especially. But I wouldn’t risk sinking the deal over that.

I’d say yes as the Hawks

He is already past his prime. He's signed until he's 38. His contract is awful
