Flames have no need for Chabot. If anything we'll be trading a defenseman for a forward, not the other way around. Not that we can fit him under the cap.

Why would Dubas dump Chabot and then trade for Liljegren?

Liljegren isn't where he needs to be yet, so this move would just be weakening the dcore for no reason. If he wants a RD so bad he would just deal Chabot to a team that could use him for an older RD and get some assets back and just keep Pinto.

I would hope Dubas wouldn't do the leafs any favours. Definitely keeping Pinto. Defense is the most important for the sens, so I don't get this trading Chabot trend. Just a bad idea and sets them back to before the chychrun trade
