Leaf have good goalie in Samsonv. Four years of Garland isn't that appealing.

Not sure Demko fits the description of bonafied #1 goalie, but it’s an interesting trade idea

Thatcher Demko > Matt Murray.

William Nylander > Conor Garland.

No reason for either team to make this trade.

He's widely regarded as a top 10 goalie. Struggled to start this year as he was battling an injury but when he was healthy again he was back to his top 10 self.

Garland has 3 years not 4 and is a 45-55pt guy (pretty much all 5on5 points). Taking Matt Murray isn't very appealing either.

I don’t think he is widely regarded as a top 10 goalie, I think he fits into the same group of goalies as Markstrom, Gibson and Andersen. Good goalies when they are in their game, but almost always leave you with wanting/expecting more

Vancouver gets another elite talent up front, which is the last thing they need. We can stockpile as many wingers as we want, but we aren't going to win anything with a tandem of Murray/Martin in net. Demko is pretty much untouchable, but if we do move him it would be for a futures package since it would signify a much larger scale rebuild. The reported ask at the deadline was a 1st, blue chip prospect, and Raty like prospect, trading him for Nylander just makes our problems of having strength on the wings but no where else that much worse.

Samsonov and Woll are the tandem for 2023-2024

Sammy is an RFA and Woll got 2 more years left

They will probs either do something similar to Murray like they did Mrazek or Robidas Island.
