I disagree, the Leafs shouldn't helping out Bruins with their cap. I certainly don't want Hall at 6m.

I figured after your comments on nearly every Hall trades for the past month. Enjoy Calle Jarnkrok wink

To be fair I’d rather have Jarnkrok at $2.1m per season over Hall at $6m per season any day. Hall hasn’t been good for years and can’t stay healthy.

But yes, the user your commenting with generally doesn’t comment anything good about posts on here so it’s not a shock.

Hall missed 21 games this season and was injured in 2018-19. In the other 5/7 seasons since 2015, he's played in 88% or more of the games.

Define good because if a 60-pts player isn't good, this league is mostly awful.

Hall put up 61pt in 81 games last season. The year he was traded to Boston he played 53 games in a 56 game season. The year before that he played 65 of 69 games. So coming into this season he had played in 199 of 207 possible games and played at a 0.73 pgp for those games. That's a 60pt pace over 3 seasons.

Not sure how you can say Hall hasn't been good for years.

$6m for a guy that hasn’t had over 20 goals since 2017/2018.. it’s been 5 years. “Pace of points” is such a trash stat. For $6m per year it’s about results.

Ironic that the 2 users defending him are Bruins fans tho

Ever heard of the concept of playmaking or do you think pucks magically end up in the net?

In 2011-12, Maxim Lapierre (9 goals in 82 games) was definitely better than Sidney Crosby (8 goals in 22 games). Great argument!

This is not defense, this is a simply logic which you seem to lack.

Lol. Great rebuttal kid!

Hall is paid $6m per season and had the same points per game as Rafael Harvey-Pinard and he made almost league minimum.

Try to justify it all you want. Hall hasn’t been good in 5 seasons and is highly overpaid.

He ranks 29th among LW's in points over the last 5 seasons. If he hasn't been good, then what does that say about majority of LW's in the NHL?

Btw I liked you wording it of "had over 20 goals." Of course it was intentional because he just put up 20 goals last season, but by saying "over 20 goals" you can bump the season since back further to try and make your point seem more valid.

Actually it wasn’t intentional like that at all.

But wow. Congrats. He had one 20 goal season in the last 5 years.. big applause. Back the trucks up and pay that man! He’s a top 29 LW in a league that has 32 teams.. but pay day for that guy!

Yes, I will enjoy 2.1m Jankrok and his 40 points verses 6m Hall and his 55 points. Enjoy Hall and Ullmark when they can't be traded this off season.

Lol well 32 teams and 29th LW in production makes him a first liner in the NHL. How many LW's not on ELC's have scored more points than Hall over the laat 5yrs and make under $6 million?

One guy's most common linemates this year at 5v5 were Mitch Marner and John Tavares....the other was Charlie Coyle & Trent Frederic lol.

Too bad was wasn't good to play higher. If he such great value, why do Bruins keep on flogging him in trades?

Well when Brad Marchand is your #1LW and Pavel Zacha has great chemistry with his fellow countrymen (Krejci & Pastrnak), that tends to happen. Hell Jake DeBrusk had to move to RW because of of LW depth.

The Bruins to my knowledge aren't shopping Hall. If you're asking why fans are putting Hall in trades, well I've found that most fans have awful judgment. If I had to guess though it's because he's a $6 million cap hit and despite what some (again) fans like yourself think, Hall has value to NHL teams, so he's a positive asset that could clear cap space if needed, while also bringing back some assets.

I would like ou

Hall would put 10 teams on "no trade list" the ones that have cap. So I would like to know that other 21 teams that have cap or want to spend 6m X 2 on Hall? Very few IMO, Remember due to bonus 15 teams have a reduced cap in 24/25. You seem to be confusing trade value and on ice value.

I dont think I am. If Hall has positive on ice value and results are what matters, then he has trade value. Your looking only at his $6 million when its more than possible a team would want to send some money out.

If a guy who ranks 29th in production among LW's over the last 5yrs doesn't have value then most of the players in the league don't have trade value

Like Tampa Bay who couldn't trade anyone in the past 3 offseasons, right?
