The core 4 isn’t the problem. God why is are fan base so delusional. It’s the coaching. We got soooo out coached. During the panthers series. Leafs also don’t know how to forecheck. Bert would be nice tho. But it sounds like brad is going to change up the Dman

Canucks probably reject. Not because the value isn't there (it definitely is) but it takes away two key things from the Canucks (centres and prospects) in return for something they don't need (wingers)

They have had two coaches and seven years.

A potato could have been coaching and they should have beat Columbus and the Habs.

Marner and Matthews have a combined 0 goals and 4 points in last 6 series clinching games.

Complain about everything else all you want, they are the ones who have not gotten it done.

See you're new on this site. I thing I have noticed from so many Leaf fans, is they the "bottom enders" are usually to blame for Leafs failures. The young core three forwards.....made of teflon. Rarely get criticized.

2 Different Coaches
2 General managers (going on 3)
Anderson, Campbell, Samsonov in net
D and bottom 6 turned over more times than I can count
Who is the common denominator?

If they were loosing in conference or Stanley cup finals constantly you could make argument that you need to tweak things around the core. It is simply not the case. Best they have gotten is 5/16 wins. Not good enough.

That would ne a huge mistake to not get a guy like Marner because of needs. You slot him on the first line and you figure it out lower in your lineup to assess needs.

For sure, you wouldn’t want a 26 year old 99 point Selke finalist for your locker room cancer that isn’t interested in defence some nights and is signed until he is 38 years old. Mitch Marner is 33rd ALL-TIME in PPG Career. JT Miller is 253rd.

Who's Vancouvers 2C if they trade Miller?

We really don't need a guy like Marner is the issue, Miller is good enough not worth paying the pick to weaken a place of weakness to upgrade an area of strength

Who cares. Miller is your 2C now and you aren’t even in the playoffs. Peterson/Marner….think about it.

Toronto has Matthews/ Tavares so we say no to Nylander for McDavid because C isn't a need. /s

Keefe isn’t a very good playoff coach neither is Babcock
