What if they all commit long term?

Values then make some sense (though still a little rich for toffoli and Columbus). But still, those teams would much rather have their own peices than aging guys signed long term. The jets might be moving out their old core and retooling so moving 18 oa in a deep draft and their best/2nd best prospect for an aging winger isn’t smart. And Columbus is in the middle of a rebuild so they won’t be moving 3 oa.

Tanev sure, but does Toronto want him long term?

Columbus isn’t trading 3rd OA for Lindholm and Hanifin let alone adding to get both of them. Rebuilding teams don’t trade high draft picks for rentals.
