Hawks decline. They're not at a point where they will trade draft capital for vets with 1 year left on their deal.

Brodie is worth more than a 3rd. He is a very good dman. Leafs should keep him.

It costs more than a sixth to dump Murray's contract.

He has a way bigger cap hit than Mrazek did when you payed a 1st to dump him, however Murray is coming off of a better season and is signed for a year less than Mrazek was.

Probably would take a 2nd to dump him, since Toronto doesn't have any seconds try a 3rd and a 4th.

it didn't cost the Leafs a 1st to dump Mrazek. The Leafs gave up a late first for a very early second. They only dropped 13 draft spots to unload Mrazek.

We payed like 13 spots to give Mrazek, not a 1st

Softish playstyle and could use the 5 mil somewhere else like getting Severson

AZ declines. Takes way more than that to dump Murray. Hawks decline as well. Why would they trade a 3rd for a 33 y.o. pending UFA they have no hope of resigning?
