Guess we are about to find out how important staying in Tampa is…my guess is that Killorn would be pretty upset asking him to play twice as long for the money he’d get on the open market.

I could see Killorn easily getting the same total money ($14m ish) over 3 years only. $4.7m x 3 isn’t unreasonable…I’m guessing he gets closer to 5m ish. Palat just got even more.

OR is that the point of the signing? He's not going to play that long. He'll get his money as front loaded as possible and then retire whenever he wants leaving the contract for TBL to figure out...which these days hasn't been that hard to find a home. AZ's been acquiring those deals for years now.

I’m not entirely sure that is how it works if you are not on a 35+ contract but I’m not claiming to be an expert.

Tomkins is the AHL starter, ABB is a career AHLer at this point and no better than an extra F
other than that good job navigating the Colton and Jeannot contracts too, though Killorn probably gets paid more
