Those signings will make it very difficult to re-sign Mercer. Pretty sure he’s a RFA after this year and will be getting a decent payday.

NJ will likely be able to afford Mercer extendsion simply from the $3-4 million rise of the salary cap + $2,747,000 coming off the books from Schneider/Kuokannen buyouts and Mercer/Bahl bonuses

If Colton is willing to sign for that he stays in Tampa. If Tampa does trade him to NJ, replace Walsh w/ Bahl and Bolts probably accept. They need a LD, not another RD.

Would do a 4th at most for Severson's UFA rights, if there's a 3rd involved would want Sharangovich to be included, would obviously be a bit bigger of a trade with the Jets sending more though.

Take out Barbashev and put in Holtz. You're currently wasting cap space and our top forward prospect.
