Bruins have cap issues. While we dont mind moving futures to get that package (no retention needed) a top 6 roster forward will not be included. We are more than happy taking Forbort instead of Grz to keep the ask lower.

Bruins should buy out Reilly for 333 000 instead of dumping the highest pick they own this year!

And just to clarify when Canes fans say futures they also don't mean any real prospects. Only picks and quantity depth prospects that add no real value to trades

It’s always Ryan Suzuki + 30th overall and a future 2nd or 3rd

Yep. maximum 1 first too usually.

one 1st, a random B-/C+ prospect that has a 4th line ceiling or two, and a couple later picks at most

well i cant help the offers from other fans. Yes, ideally we use Boston's need to clear cap space to remain competitive to lower the cost as much as possible. Hall isnt a necessity in the deal for us. To me, he is just a throw in to the deal to clear more space for a guy who did meet his contract this year (because of injuries). If boston holds him in high regard because of one 7 game series, the canes will likely not be interested. Getting Forbort on the cheap in a deal with Ullmark is fine but also not a necessity . Ullmark would be only of value to the canes here. The rest are cap dumps we take in order for us to not pay an arm and a leg for ullmark.

There's probably 3 first of value in here from Boston

Gryz 2nd, hall 50% 1st, ullmark 1st+2nd are reasonable prices on all of these

I predict boston to take a haircut on ONE of these players (not hall 50% retained but hall at full price), but Boston doesn't need to clear all of them, and so you'd be paying full price on these.

The Canes will not need the retain so that doesnt hold value for us.. We'll want to spend as less as possible to fill our 3LD spot (as should any other team). Grz would be a last minute need if the other previous 10 options fell through. while im not arguing the value these players should have from a Boston perspective, those 2 folks dont hold those values to Carolina. We here to absorb your cap dumps to lower the price of Ullmark not pay big prices on top of ullmark. If Boston wants to get maximum value out of Ullmark and then try to sell of other pieces, I can understand that and we may put in a bid for Ullmark by himself.

overall this deal with jarvis going the other way doesnt peak the interest of the canes.

I do not see the Bruins making a big swing for a wing. That is the only spot in the org where they have depth.

Priority should be, in order:
Top 6 C / 1C
Bigger / younger top 4 LD
Prospects / picks
