better team yes, but with age alreadfy an issue -orlov for 6 years is really insane

And trading your best two prospects and a 2nd for a UFA to be goalie?

Jets obviously decline. Minimum is pick 14 and tbh I'd want to remove poulin add that pick 14 and add blomqvist if that's not doable move on to other options

No point in getting younger if you are not getting better this team is done 2-3 years max. Let's not try to stay mid for 6 more years.

Also I think that you overvalue Poulin. He is not a top 3 prospect in 30 of 32 team in this league. That is still one of the best goalie in the league, you are not getting him for a bag of puck.

Obviously ROR doesn't sign that deal - and I'd rather just buyout Granlund.

But other than that looks good. Jets will probably ask for a 1st though

You are not getting that much for 1 year of him. Goalies always go for a bit less than expected especially if this is not a trade and sign.

PIT want Helly? Very good start. Pickering and Poulin put you ahead of most trades for Helly. This is something to consider. If you said your 14th overall this year on top of those 2 prospects, it would be a deal. But as is... close...

I don't see them moving both the 14th and Pickering for him only.
