Okay so sweeten the pot with another first or two and Justin Robidas and/or Noel Gunler

I don't like that deal either... Tyler Toffoli would put too much strain on the cap... I'd rather move Necas up and Insert Jesse in the lineup

Why? We save cap room, get a solid prospect and two 2nds. Calgary should definitely do that.

Why wouldn’t the Devils just sign him for that deal if that is all it takes? Timo easily 8.5-9m player.

I am a huge Miller fan, and think that OS route is interesting, but why just one year. Do you think he’s going to do a KK and sign a below market value long term deal?

Why not just go the same value but 5 years. Same OS comp and more likely to get signed by KM

Exactly what I said... He's probably a $9-10m range player... and I'm willing to give up those kinds of assets for Timo considering his scoring and his physicality is exactly what the Hurricanes need

If Timo Meier was willing to sign that contracted. )3 would’ve been extended by NJ when he was acquired

We don’t need picks, we would need a top-6 winger. So unless it includes Svechnikov, Necas, Jarvis…I would think it would be dead end.

Okay so we'll include Tuevo and Robidas ontop of the current haul

I guess that depends on how you value Suzuki. We gave up a lot to get Toffoli, and I could argue that he increased his value with last year's performance. I think we could get at least a 1st and a 2nd at the deadline, which likely means he's worth more now. Time will tell I guess.

I doubt this gets it done even if Meier demanded a trade, but who knows. Otherwise I think the Devils just take him to arbitration if they can't agree on something long term
