Created by: TheBigFlyera
Team: 2023-24 Philadelphia Flyers
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 8, 2023
Published: Jun. 8, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
This is all based on Flyers insider reports and other national reporters reports. You can scream at a wall for all i care if you disagree with what national reporters are saying, your opinion doesn’t mean anything compared to theirs lol. It’s also being reported Flyers are unlikely to move TK because they don’t believe they will get the value they want for him currently so maybe they trade him at the trade deadline for a haul, who knows.

Most these deals are fair
I think the Sens and Flyers could do a fun deal like Ostapchuk, Lassi and a first that becomes a 2nd if the Sens miss the playoffs and it would still be fair

Sens look really good and should be a contender with this lineup

Danny holds all the cards. He doesn’t need to trade Hart this year or this contract even.
Apparently the offers coming in are larger than the return of Provorov, which is to be expected since his stats rank him well above average

OTT does not need to overpay for a average to below average G.

That’s true, lucky for us, Hart is considered one of the better goalies in the world by pretty much every stat

Thanks for bringing sense to the conversation lol. I agree that type of deal could be very tempting for the Flyers and benefits both teams if OTT somehow miss the playoffs I would still be okay with that return

I'm an Oilers and Flyers fan. I like most of these deals but knowing the Oilers that one trade doesn't make much sense for them. If they trade Ceci they have to replace him for 3 mil or less. So they certainly arent attaching a 2nd or 3rd to him. Then with Foegele, hes similar but the Oilers can replace him with someone cheaper internally. Still don't see them attaching a 2nd or 3rd to him to move his contract. Both of those players have legit value and would likely net the Oilers a return and not the other way around.

Fair enough thanks for the insight. I feel like I have seen them both be dumps by Oilers fans in other trades but definitely could be wrong!

Ya like I get Oilers fans wanting to dump them because of the money and Armchair GM is fun, but realistically it just doesn't make sense for them to do it. Love your other trades though, I agree I think a team is going to give close to your value there for Hart. Cheers!

Have you actually looked at his numbers? His stats place him above average in every area other than PK.. he is factually one of the better goalies in the league.

I’ve strapped my bandwagon to the Sens a few years ago after the front office made it impossible to cheer for the Flyers. The Sens landing Hart would be a huge upgrade and set them on path to be a powerhouse.

You realize who hes had in front of him playing right? im sure if he had a better roster assigned to him, you could see his stats inflate even moreso. he already has respectable numbers given the garbage team he plays for.

Yup, only area where his stat is terrible. Hard to blame a goalie on PK when they have one of the worst D groups in the league though, but it still should be evaluated just as equally as the rest of the stats
