Trade back with DET for more pick, Dubas has a history of this

Trade back into the first round with MTL. MTL gains cap space and 2 seconds along with a young LD while PIT gains a vet LD and a 4th line cap dump along with a late 1st.

BOS gains cap space and a pick plus a B goalie prospect and a C+ forward prospect while PIT gains a starting goalie

Bunting adds speed and grit to the middle six of this group.

Donato is a solid bottom 6 forward who is relatively young and inexpensive.

You nailed the trade back on the head. Kyle loves trading back! The only problem I see is a disturbing lack of Soo Greyhounds in the lineup lmao.

Last year Arizona traded for the 11th overall for the 27th, 34th and 45th to San Jose.
You traded the 14th and a 4th round pick for the 41st, 42nd and a 5th round pick.

You are off on the values there. We have an almost comparable from last year.

Remove the 4th round pick going to Detroit and add the 43rd overall going to Pitsburgh.

So its 14 for 41, 42, 43 and that 5th round pick

Still seems light to me but it would need to be at least that for Pittsburgh to do it. Maybe do 14 for 41, 42, 43 and a 2024 2nd.

I mean, Detroit takes that and runs, but you're undervaluing your pick. 14OA, would net you Detroit's 17OA AND one of Detroit's later 2nd round picks as well...
