I like toffoli and tanev but I don't think tanev's cap hit will fit tho. also don't think vladar is a difference maker. also those guys are all ufa's your team would get huge returns at the trade deadline for those guys and we would most likely lose them in the offseason for nothing because we won't be selling if we make the playoffs. This would make us a better team next season imo but only next season and it would have too much cash strapped to our Dcore and we would still have a goaltending problem.

So In the end I don't think ottawa does this because it doesn't fix our Goaltending issue and only gives us 1 year rentals.

I really like this for Ottawa. One thing is I wouldn’t part with Kelly and, even though I like Tanev, I don’t think we really need him.

OTT has no interest in Tanev, trade him elsewhere if you need the cap space, OTT has no need for D and are not going to trade Cat for a player they have zero need for. and BTW if Cat is not willing to sign in OTT he certainly will not sign in CGY so Cat to CGY will never happen

1. Tanev is not a cap dump and never will be. He's been the best shutdown defenseman in the league the last 3 years. He certainly won't be moved for cap space lmao.
