Columbus is going for it

Description
This is based on various trade ideas I've seen proposed by Columbus fans. Miller seems like the perfect fit for Columbus. There is some back-end risk to Miller's contract, but he is well worth his contract at this point can be a number 1 center until Columbus's prospects are ready and then he can transition to wing later in his wing where he is objectively amazing. If you think the trade is off on value picks could be used to adjust, but I don't think it's far off fair.

With the signing I left almost 2.5m in extra cap so if you think they're underpaid there's room to pay more. If they have extra space left over they should use it to go longer on RFAs.

  1. Beauvillier, Anthony

Traded for whatever we can get. To whoever wants him. Probably worth a low pick?

  1. Myers, Tyler
Additional Details:
Traded to whoever for what it costs.

  3. 2023 2nd round pick (CBJ)
Additional Details:
I've seen similar ideas to this. Picks are to balance but obviously could be changed depending on the exact balance of the trade. Could add a Jake Bean as well for more cap balance if needed.

Some risk on the back end of Miller's contract and there's some risk of seeing snow in Buffalo during the winter.

Undervalued JT by a lot. He's a legit top line C and an elite W and PP quarterback. The only other comp C available would be Scheifele whose contract is up and with the cap going up will cost upwards of 9m probably.

This has been proposed a million times by Canucks fans, but other than Hockey_Mind experimenting or Konkarsson trolling, I don't think I've ever seen a Columbus fan proposing it. We're basically wholesale against it for all the reasons previous commenters have already brought up in this thread.

Miller is so soft; he wouldn't last 20 games under Babcock!
