Lindholm

Created by: kscoop
Team: 2023-24 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 9, 2023
Published: Jun. 9, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Lindholm wants out of Calgary apparently. Not sure if Hall + Bruins best prospect is enough but I'd imagine it is close. Cap goes up next season and Bruins can easily re-sign Lindholm. Kings are all in and trade next years 1st which should be a late 1st for the soon to be reigning Vezina winner. Bruins re-sign Bertuzzi giving him a long term deal at a good cap hit. Bertuzzi loved his time in Boston and wants to settle his family playing along side Pastrnak and Lindholm.

Idk about the flames trade, but I think the Kings would be silly not to make that move if Boston offers.

I'd think a deal for Lindholm would be similar to what Vancouver got for Horvat.

Goaltenders are never worth 1st round picks, in the draft or via trade.

LA can't afford a $5M goaltender. Right now they have about $4M to spend on Vilardi and a 2nd goalie combined.

Hall at $6M is a borderline cap dump at this point. Boston fans should stop trying to send him to CGY. CGY has plenty of depth at LW, and Hall doesn't help that. That trade essentially creates a lot of problems and doesn't address any needs for the Flames, because it doesn't commit to this year, or the future, just keeping a status quo with a worse roster.

We could do Kadri for Hall and I won't even flinch, but I don't think that Boston would be too eager to add that contract either despite Kadri clearly outproducing Hall over the last couple of years.

very possible its the same value if not more here. another way of looking at this is seeing if a deadline deal gets you more value for a player(rental) in which this would be Lindys future team, islanders took more of a chance buying him

But if your Calgary and your selling a guy like Lindholm, your likely moving Hanifin as well. If your moving those guys your probably not pushing from a cup for 3-5 years. At that point Hall would be a UFA.

this is a good lookin team, however I'd pay freddy a little less, give that dollar value to swayman and tuzzi. plus I'd rather seen lohrei and achan get reps in instead of getting a guy off the market

You could give Bergeron league min with bonuses that get him go $2.5 million. The bonuses could be carried over to next season. Also 3yr on Swayman makes him a UFA at the earliest possible point. 2yr keeps him an RFA. If it's more than 2yrs then you go for an 8yr deal on Swayman
