Description

Jets need to change their culture, but still keep butts in seats so Bettman doesn’t sacrifice their team. So they need to clear out all the guys that won’t be there in a year, and supplement them with some UFAs so they aren’t complete bottom feeders.

Dillon may be interesting to Devils. We are likely to bring a veteran dman in to play 3rd pair with Luke and/or 6/7 spot. We may run into roster spot issue however…so instead of $1m retention, we could possibly send Brendan Smith back instead (although we could probably clear him through waivers).

yep ottawa doesn't need another LD and that's too much for an aging goaltender. don't get me wrong he very good but they can get a decent goalie for cheaper

There has been trade rumours that the Canes are interested. They have enough defensive forwards to warrant a pure offensive guy like Scheifele. They need someone who can score, and they missed out on Pacioretty.

What rumors? I’ve seen factless speculation based on need, much like Canes mentioned with Hellebuyck. It isn’t a canes move. He will cost too much for the lack of fit and our unwillingness to extend him either.
