Way to spout lies about KK. He has been the Canes 2C for almost the entire year, and the only time he really wasn’t was when Aho was injured. Other reasons the Canes don’t consider that, Kuzy only had 12 more points than KK. KK is signed for long term, and is 9 years younger, whereas Kuzy is 9 years older and doesn’t have term on his deal. KK is cheaper than Kuzy. KK Is elite defensively and is still improving offensively, whereas Kuzy is rather negligent defensively and has fallen off offensively. Kuzy actively wants out and KK doesn’t.

Counter offer that makes a lot more sense: Canes get Kuzy with 2.8mil retention (5mil cap hit) in exchange for Conditional 24 2nd rounder that can upgrade to a first dependent on Kuzy’s production.
