I can see Anaheim and Los Angeles making those trades. Well done and realistic.

1. Arvidssen’s value is tied to his PP role. Can he net a 2nd? I think so, but it would need to be a three team deal. I doubt it would net more than that. It is realistic though and I like Pinelli.

2. Do you trade Hall at a discount to sign Bertuzzi? He’s better than Patrick Kaine at this stage and I do believe at the trade deadline .. he could net that package. Part of me prefers Hall at his salary to Bert if I’m honest. Hall to Colorado for a 3rd to clear room for Bert does make some sense to me if I disregard that feeling.

3. The Anaheim deal makes a ton of sense.

Canes pass. Arvidsson isn’t worth that investment for 1 year

If they can't get Zucker back, I can see this. Maybe make the 2024 pick a 3rd too?

The question is what do you want? Bert brings physicality and high danger goals. Hall brings speed and medium danger goals. I can see many teams preferring Bert over Hall.

Bert is not good defensively and Hall has developed into a solid two way player. I like Bert’s passing ability and fit with Pasta/Zacha better. Personally, I think Hall is better, but that fit with our best player is enticing

All of those signings are pretty accurate

BOS has no need for Arvidsson, but it turns out to be Pinelli, a 2nd and 4th for Ullmark, which is pretty fair IMO

BOS wouldnt get much of a return for Hall, but a 3rd would be pretty pathetic, i think they could do a bit better than that

Bert would be a better option than Hall at this stage, ya his Defense sucks, but his chemistry w Pasta was remarkable and hes younger. Hall has not looked great in the Ozone and his rush attempts just lead to turnovers, I also wonder how his PP abilities would be after getting little time on the PP last year. Ik he played 3rd line most of the year (and he was injured) but IMO hes just wouldnt provide as much value and production as Bert would

There are def worse options for a top 6 winger than Hall and I wouldnt hate keeping him, but IMO bert would fit better than him

Last year, 5v5, each player was in the bottom half of the league in expected goals against per 60.
Hall was 2.58
Bert was 2.75

That means if each guy plays 20 min a night, every 3 games they would let in the number above of goals. Extrapolated to 82 games, that means each guy would be responsible for the following goals against:
Hall: 70.52
Bert: 75.16

So while Bert is not good defensively, he is only about 5 goals per season worse than Hall.

ya so thats barely a difference against Hall, assuming improvements could be made under Monty and Zacha would help with the defensive liabilities on that line, Bert would still be a better option than Hall

I’d be curious to see rotations with the top defense pairings between the two. The drop off to the third line of Forbort and Clifton seemed large to me

IMO both Clifton and Forbs are gone, 3rd pairings can typically be found anywhere, FA, farm system, cheap trade, those players are easier to find/pay and the Bruins cant afford both rn

I was asking about the statistical variation between the two forwards with whom they are playing with defensively.

We did eerily similar trades. When I checked this team out, I genuinely thought it was the most recent one I created. Well done!
