The first 2 moves don’t make sense for the canes. The later 2 are likely a no from the other teams.

Not bad value for Nelson but Isles are not moving their top goal scorer right now.

Grzelcyk isn't bad. Part of me wants to get some more size on the bottom pair, but at the same time I like his game. Wouldn't be mad at that at all.

I'm a fan of Jarnkrok and think he would be a great replacement for Fast if he walks, but would the Leafs give him up? Basically a late 1st is great value for him though.

Rangers probably decline the Lafreniere trade. He still has a lot of potential and they could do better than a bottom 6er, depth prospect and a couple meh picks. If they really want him, an offersheet is the route to go.

Doubt Nelson is available

Not anymore and not with so many goalies available that are younger. Not to mention cap space for any team he may want to play for.

Why would a team GM go into a season with eight players on expiring contracts?
It’s a disaster waiting to happen for next season when you loose most of these players.

Cause he probably didn't take into account next year when he made this... given the Hurricane's cap situation next year they are not going all in this offseason

Oh I did take that into account, but I'm assuming that some of those guys are granted extensions at some point and I didn't have the ability to like sign the extensions and make them appear

I totally get that... I just looked at the long-term outlook and it doesn't seem like there is enough cap to resign the guys we need to resign
