I would rather take my chances with the 19th overall pick and NYR's 2nd round pick, than acquire Holtz. No intrest in dumping Mrazek or acquiring Blackwood, either. Also, CHI doesn't sign any of those players. I feel like it would be a betrayal to the entire rebuild to go buy a bunch of players just because we are drafting Bedard.

Devils probably do first trade (Blackwood)
Devils certainly decline second trade (Holtz)

Hawks don't make any of those 3 trades. Of all those UFA's you signed, the only ones the Hawks might target would be Domi or Compher (one or the other not both).

Blackwood trade is fine but NJ declines the Holtz trade. At this point, Holtz would be traded for immediate help, not futures.

Why do some "Hawks fans" want to destroy the future the Hawks are trying to build and turn them into a perennial 7th-10th place team in the conference with no future?

Casuals that just don't understand what KD is trying to do. Admittedly, none of us fully understand what he is doing, if we did, he wouldn't be very good at his job. But we have a pretty good idea of what he ISN'T doing. There are so many unknowns that not even KD can predict, or know, either. That or they are fans of other teams posing as CHI fans trying to make us look stupid. Which, I believe there are a few of those people on here who pose as fans of other teams just to troll.

Impatience. They don’t what to wait the time for them to be good again. Most of the world wants instant gratification.
