Caps hard pass. MAYBE if you removed the 1st round picks, but even then don't think Caps want to get wrapped up in Millers contract.

Am I crazy for thinking the Caps would be fine with this? If Kuzy isn't interested in sticking around, and a team is willing to throw two roster players back to us to offload the Mantha contract, could be a win win if Miller's production stays high.

I feel like Miller > Kuznetsov, Boeser > Mantha and the difference between 8th and 11th doesn't come close to closing the gap.

Boeser for Mantha is an interesting framework for a deal though.

JT Miller is a hard no.

That feels like a Carolina type of trade- one year at that cap hit and the difference between a late second and mid 4th. Feels very Carolina, don't hate it

Boeser for Mantha is almost a 1 for 1 negative value player trade the canucks get save 1 million in cap space with Mantha and Kuzy and get to move up from 11 to 8 using the value difference between Miller and Kuzy. It probably needs a lower level prospect from Washington or a low value second or third from Washington to equal the trade. Maybe even a retention on Mantha or Kuzy
