You had a good start with the Toews trade with that 1st, but the rest is a disappointment. If the Avs are moving on from Toews, they’ll add onto that 1st with a Middle 6 forward (possibly a rental) and keep adding on with more players/prospects/picks.

Murray isn't on LTIR. Toews isn't worth all that to the Leafs. Caps say no. No reason to give so many young assets for 8.5m of Laughton and Konecky.

Ya you’re right. Caps don’t need to add to career high 52 point tom Wilson for a top 25 winger in the nhl. Clown.

Tom Wilson won a Stanley Cup and has always been a factor in the POs. William Nylander has never won **** and has always been a disappointment in the POs. The Caps would not seek out Nylander because they don’t need soft floaters. WSH will gladly keep Wilson and every Leaf fan ever can keep fantasizing trades for him. Fool.

The trade also includes Fehervary who is a Top 4 DMan on every team in the League and a decent 3D on a contending team. There’s not a package from the Leafs centered around Nylander that convinces WSH to trade Wilson AND Fehervary. Get over it.
