The Caps aren’t going to trade Wilson to the Rangers, for anything.

This offer is particularly poor. The Caps won’t want anything to do with Goodrow, retaining on Wilson is going to increase the cost, trading in the Division is going to increase the cost. This offer is basically a Late 1st and then Salary (Goodrow), the Caps say Hell No.

Caps wouldn't do this trade as is, but especially to a division rival. Teams like PIT, NYR, and PHI would have to pay through the nose to get Wilson, especially with money eaten.
