Bratt = Debrincat
Vanecek, 1st = (someone who would play in our lineup).

That’s a big price to pay to OTT. I think Bratt is better than Debrincat anyway. At best it’s a wash and you’re changing up chemistry for no gain.

Sharangovich's greatest strength lies in his versatile and well-rounded game. He showcases offensive skills, hockey sense, two-way play, and adapts effectively to different roles, making him a valuable asset for the Devils.

Plus I’m never a fan of trading 1st round picks unless you’re getting a prime player locked up with term. By losing Bratt in addition you are not netting any improvement by sacrificing the pick.

Hill has had a good postseason, but it’s a huge risk to dump Vitek and give him that contract. Brannstrom is fine, but there are cheaper options in FA or via trade.

I like Shara I just think hes gonna want more money in which we need to be cautious of how our cap is spent; especially with Luke/Dawson extensions on the horizon.

Agree on Bratt being better than Cat but we need a delineated scorer in our lineup specifically on our PP which crash and burned towards the end of the season.

All goalie acquistions/signings are risky but this team playing upfront is worth the risk for an upgrade in net - love VV but he was a complete disaster in the playoffs.

Looking at history, I just think you’re better having two-way players than pure scorers, and keeping chemistry together rather than switching guys out, especially after just one season of being competitive.

I’d be patient and let these guys grow together, then they’ll be more likely to take cap friendly deals to keep the group together vs bringing in outsiders looking to cash a check. Cap is going up. Keep your guys and build from within.

As an OTT fan I'd be up for this trade but I can't see why NJD would say yes to it.

I don’t think he would be a great fit. Fitzy likes his dmen “long and mobile”. Even if he were, is he worth our starting goaltender and a 1st rounder? Should we even be in a position to dial up risk on goaltending?

I mean we're kind of in a position to take risks on goalies (see playoffs) idk if Akira is THE GUY per se, VV is a regular season goalie, Blackwood is gone.

Fair point on Branstrom - Walsh could make the team and be a decent blue line d man but time will tell of course.
