Description
The Lightning have a pivotal off-season coming around the corner. Meaningful changes are in order but with a championship proven core, it gives very little wiggle room to play with.
This roster is based off of the positive reputation that Tampa has around the league, enough to entice players to win here at a cheap rate. Tampa needs to somehow get bigger, faster, and younger to compete next year as the fourth line was invisible for most of last year and the defence got exposed when Cernak went down.

    You're better off waiving Fleury and sending him down. If he clears, you just stashed an NHL caliber defenseman in the minors that you can call up if necessary. If he doesn't clear, you're no worse off. Just my two cents.

    Hawks really aren't looking for LHD (maybe they would consider someone that can play at the top of the lineup), especially not bottom of the roster types as they already have Tinordi signed and will be looking to rotate prospects through the bottom of the lineup. You are not saving pennies by paying Hagg more than you already have Fleury under contract for.

    A Colton to Pittsburgh trade would take Joseph coming to Tampa in place of the picks. Toews most likely either signs in Winnipeg or retires. But this is a pretty good take for your first post!
