I assume Kampf gets 4-5 years at 2-2.5m a year. The statistical probability that Dubas signs him in Pittsburgh is super high.

I want him back in Toronto though. I would offer him 2m x 4 years easily.

I personally dislike that Saros trade quite a bit for Buffalo. You are giving so many good pieces. I think Buffalo can get a good goalie for cheaper. They also have the best goalie prospect in the world in Levi.

Also ST Louis turns that down. I think your 2023 1st would need to be added to that package before they consider moving Parayko.

Stl turns that down .... try more like 1st, Krebs, and Henri J. Maybe even more

Well the package already had Henri j, Mittelstadt (who just had over 50 pts), 2nd round pick. I was suggesting adding the 1st round pick to those 3 pieces as well.

It became VERY apparent, VERY quickly,
that you’re not a Sabres fan
Bc basically all these moves are either bad ideas, severe overpays, or both

Hard pass on all of this

Parayko contract is horrible, his actual Salary is 8m for the next 3yrs, be 35 by the time it actually hits his Cap number basically. Jesus there's reports out there saying St. Louis might have to use one of there 1st to get a deal done for Faulk or Parayko. Can't see Buffalo doing that with Dahlin's 10m and Powers extensions coming.

There is not one legit report saying the blues would use one of their firsts to move one of those two. Faulk was also really good last year so that doesn’t even make sense. Parayko had a down year but played hurt and was good the last month of the season. The only way the blues would part with him is if they were getting significant assets in return. So don’t worry - he won’t be going to Buffalo as I understand it from another AGM Buf fan, you have an internal budget well below the salary cap for some reason…

Go read his trade bait articles, he says it in there. Talks about adding a sweetener or a 1st in a few different ones.

Good lord is the DailyFaceoff website a POS. There isn't even a search function for any articles. I can't find it. I'll guarantee you the Blues would not add any sweetener to a Parayko trade regardless of what he says. Seravelli also said that Krug was 'untouchable' on the Blues previously which makes absolutely no sense. He is the dman they would most like to trade, and I could see them adding a sweetener to to trade for him. They have any easy replacement for Krug also in Scott Perunovich. They have no one on the right side who provides 25 minutes a night like Parayko to replace him. So like I said before, if they did decide to trade Paryako, it would mean they are going for a complete rebuild rather than the retool that the Blues' GM has been peddling. I am actually not against a rebuild or even trading Parayko, but assets would be coming to the Blues if that was the case. They literally just gave him the 8 year extension a little over a year ago so I doubt they have soured on him so fast that they are willing to give assets to trade him.

Well I would keep Parayko if I was St. Louis. But his contract is a detriment if they do decide to trade him. Very front loaded contract, that 8m salary hurts, not many teams can take that Cap hit on and when it finally does become manageable he will be 35 or so. He's a Good Dman but that contract is bad.

Maybe. I bet Parayko would get a 7 year contract at $6.5M today though if he was a free agent. Severson just got that, and he plays less minutes. Also the cap is going to go up significantly next year - like to $90M and then increase more going forward. Parayko had a bad year last year but so did the whole team. O'Reilly was bad on the Blues and then good for Toronto. Tarasenko was bad on the Blues, and then somewhat good for the Rangers. Barbeshev was always good but excelled much more on Vegas - hence he's a champion again. I think Parayko will be better next year. I do fully understand someone not wanting his contract though. I'm content with it though as a Blues fan.
