Nope. As long as we don’t get .895 save percentage again and no major injuries we should be in great condition to make the playoffs

Right, okay. Laughton isn't him though, especially not for a first-round pick on a team that isn't proven to make the playoffs. That seems like a Tampa move, giving up a first-round pick for a third liner. Also, him slotting into Cat's spot?

Joseph does nothing for the Flyers, Thomson does very little, and the pick is in 2024 with protections? Flyers can do way better.

No they can’t. Also if you’re expecting an unprotected 1st for Laughton, you’re insane

They have already turned down an offer of a late first this year so ypu would be wrong genius.

Go offer up your junk to someone else.

that 2024 pick is likely to be in the teens. How is that junk lmao. Way better than a late 1st. And Thomson could play in your lineup and has potential

JBD has had a pretty below average last two years. Rather just keep Benning, thanks.

Thomson is more our speed.

I disagree with you in this Lassi is supposed to be a pretty good RHD prospect. I don’t really want to wait til 2025 for the 1st but I believe Sens should be good enough to push for playoffs or just barely miss I don’t see them being top 10 so the pick would very likely be 2024 and Joseph they can just dump at the deadline for another mid pick

2023's draft is far superior.

Thomson is barely a top 10 prospect in your system.

Like I said, junk.

He used to be. He will be 23 when the season starts and hasnt even been great in the AHL. He is barely a top 10 prospect for the Sens at this point.

Idk man,

Flyers need young RD, Thomson is gonna need NHL time sooner or later and we can give it too him and help him grow. The first is very reasonabably protected, at the end of the day Laughton just isn't worth a top 10 pick because his most ideal postion is on the 3rd line, he can slot anywhere but you have to keep that in mind.

Joseph also is coming off a down year, he could bounce back with Philly and we could flip him, There is little reason not to take him back.

Also that first is likely in the teens which would still be insane value for Laughton.

I see your point but if it’s Boston 2023 1st and Robertson or Sens 2024 1st and Lassi. I am taking Sens 100/100 times. Sens 2024 literally could be anywhere from 11OA to like 20OA realistically and Lassi isn’t always injured like Robertson. I’m also biased because I’m completely against helping Toronto in anyway because of how entitled all of their fans are.

Thomson just isnt that good of a prospect.

Also what do you expect the upside is to Joseph "bouncing back?" He's a 10 goal /20-25 point guy. If they are flipping him its for a 6th or 7th.

Thomson is decent, nothing ground breaking but we're trading Scott Forkin Laughton. Thomson at the very least seems like a NHLer, just probably not much more than a #4/#5.

The hope for Joseph would be he gets back too his former Ottawa self before injury and other stuff last year. After being dealt last year he had 12 points in 11 games, it's unreasonable to expect that production but he could definitely score 30-35 points which is all you need out of a 3rd liner.

Also the pick is probably Top 20 next year and there will be a hefty amount of solid RD's in that range next year. If we were able to get one of those RD's this trade would be absolute win of a deal.

Dude, Thomson is not a good prospect and the chances of Joseph becoming a 35 point winger at his age are slim to none.

The 2023 draft is far superior to 2024.

Its simply not a good offer.

way too much for career 3rd liner who is going to be 30, if briere wants a 1st+ he can keep him and i do not believe any of the so called rumour that other teams offered a 1st for him, they would have been fired immediately if they did

Sens reject Phili trade. Too much for Laughton.
Other deals seem okay
