That's an overpay too... Timmins is at most worth a mid round pick and Nylander isn't worth both Hanifin and Toffoli

Calgary gets swindled on the first deal. Keep the 2023 16OA. It's a deep draft and we don't need to double down on a UFA and give up Dube. I can see UFA swaps like Hanifin and Toffoli, but it makes no sense to give up our 1st considering how bad the pipeline is right now.

It is, but not nearly as bad as 16 OA and Dube who is a controlled asset. I truly think Hanifin and Nylander should be closer to a straight swap but know Leafs fans don't think that so trying to find their middle ground. Toffoli could net a 1st plus elsewhere for sure
