How much is he worth

Created by: Shaquille_Oatmeal
Team: 2023-24 Detroit Red Wings
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 16, 2023
Published: Jun. 16, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Apparently the Blues are willing to trade a defenseman to free up some Cap space. Faulk to Detroit would make a lot of sense and we know that Yzerman-Armstrong like to trade with each other

Wings are gonna pass here, no point in trading Hronek to fill him with an older player. Wings will looks elsewhere

They'd have to basically give him to us for free for it to make sense...

I would not give up big assets either, but Faulk had 50p last season and is a reliable player.

yea, I wouldn't be opposed to him, but I can't imagine a scenario where St. Louis moves him for what Detroit *should* pay for him... I just don't think there's a fit here.

We shouldn't want him, due to age and contract. Have to have the players assets to wthin the timeline of their rebuild and this doesn't. Yzerman gonna look for someone between 22-27 I'd say

I think St Louis is looking at unloading either Krug or Parayko. And neither make any sense for us.

I don't think the Cap hit is a problem at all, but the term is little bit risky. But we have to remember that Yzerman isn't afraid of paying older players. If 31y old Chiarot gets a 4y contract, I don't know why Faulk's 4y contract is too big of a risk.

1 is different then 2 and Benny boy was added for a specific reason using his body. Just don't see a fit here

Exactly this. Contract concerns or not, Faulk is not going to come cheap, nor should he. They almost certainly are not moving him.
