CAR sends Pittsburgh 2nd round pick to VGK for Trevor van Riemsdyk and VGK 7th round pick.

This is real good deal for Carolina to get a Right Shooting D-man for basically nothing ... They have a better chance to sneak into post season than prior to this deal. Think they got a stud in Faulk or whatever spelling who can really mentor this kid... HE had experience of playing with guys like Keith, Seabrook, Hammer in Chicago as well. Should be good for 5-10 goals, think this was bad move by Vegas... Unless they sign Shattenkirk, Franson, I'm not optimistic about them moving forward short term to long .

Oh Vegas, why are you trading away your legitimately good defensemen? At least they got a decent pick in return, but still, TVR should've stayed and someone else should have been flipped.

Stupid move by Vegas. Their defence was not even CLOSE to good enough, and TVR was one of their better d-men. Makes no sense.

Carolina has so much defense now. My guess is they trade one of them for a line 1 center.

TVR isn't special, there's Polak, Gardiner, Sbisa, Russell and other D that can single-handedly give up 1-2 disastrous goals a game with bad decision making. They still have Reinhart to do that
