The Canucks no longer have the cap crunch this season due to the OEL buyout, the urgency to move Garland isn't there anymore as they'll have 12.5m in cap space with LTIR relief. It's likely the Canucks wait until after Free Agency to maximize the value of Garland, and likely look for a 1v1 swap with an LHD.

Maybe they should put more thought into it then.

Or maybe you should try and look at why the Canes would do this deal... Pesce and Nylander are the same quality at different positions, include Pesce's better cap hit, more important position, and it neglects the age difference. Teravainen himself can rival Nylander's production straight up. Timmins is a 7th D man...

I disagree. If we are offered a 3rd I'd still move him. I don't have much interest in Robertson but the 3rd is enough for me

"Teravainen himself can rival Nylander's production straight up"

Nylander the last 2yrs 1.03ppg, teuvo .77ppg

Nylander instantly becomes Carolina's top offensive threat

I'd probably take the ghost of Nick Robertson and the third to be fair.

Nylander is not better than Svech or Aho.

I think the Canes side is wayyy better in this package.

Its a strong "we'll consider it" for Nylander. His next contract is a little scary at the rumored 9 million.

Didn't say he's better than them I said he's their top offensive player which is objectively true.
