Would you still do it if you swapped out Jonny Burgers with someone else? Zadina, Veleno, Kubalikma, Johansson maybe?

Fiala went last summer for 19 and a true elite defense prospect in Brock Faber. Unless you plan on offering that 17th overall pick and Greig for TK, don't bother.

Fiala was an RFA who wanted to sign long term with Los Angeles, that adds significant value.

Yep, and the flip side is Fiala was a RFA who didn't want to re-sign in Minnesota which meant they pretty much had to trade him. The Flyers don't have to trade TK. Also Fiala signed long term but with that came a cap hit of almost 8 million. TK's cap hit for the next two years is nearly 2.5 million less and cap space is an asset in and of itself in the flat cap world.

Either way, a 2024 first is less valuable than a 19th overall pick in a current draft, and Brock Faber is/was a better prospect than Ridley Greig so even that offer is still less than what Fiala returned. TK is one of the rare assets that the Flyers will be reluctant to trade because he is their best player and he wants to stay in Philly despite the rebuild. With two years remaining on his deal they also have no sense of urgency to move him regardless and are dealing from a position of strength. This is where people need to do their research before they throw out trade ideas. It will take a premium to get him and the offer proposed above isn't close to that and is instead yet another example of one really good asset and a bunch of "stuff" that isn't going to move the needle.

Not interesting then. Zadina, Veleno and Johansson have very low value to Ottawa. Kubalik maybe

17th OA pick in 2023 > 19th OA pick in 2022

And Brannstrom is pretty good at hockey, his value is rising fast.

Plus that 3rd and Mandolese who is not a nobody. He looked pretty good in his first NHL game.

Fiala is also better than Konecny with a longer track record

And this :
