He sticks up for teammates and can clear the front of the net. Makes teams think twice about taking runs at leaf players.

McBain would be a great trade but that won't get him imo. I'd play him as 3rd line center and move Jarnkrok to the 4th line to add some skill. Barb-McBain-Acciari would be a nasty 3rd line but l think he gets more money.

No he doesn't, he gets beaten all the time and puts himself of position by head hunting. I agree we need some more nastiness on the Blueline but it needs to be more than a gimmick. He would get wrecked in the playoffs because he's really not that great.

on AZ trade not sure why weber included (hes LTIR for 3 years paid by insurance), Curtis isnt worth anything, so its McBain + 4th for Robertson and Der-A. McBain is thought highly as power middle 6 C by AZ dont see this as enough to get him. AZ not trading him for fair value have to be overpay and this isnt.

Douglas is a big boy. 6'9 245lbs with potential. To me that is someone the Leafs could and should work with. Even if he only amounts to a 4th line C, standing him in front of the net would screen any goalie in the league and cause frustration for the other team to try and move him.

I could see Rlbertson getting the chance for more ice time with AZ which should better showcase his skill set. Der-A would also have a better chance at cracking the lineup or even seeing some NHL time due to injuries. Both have good scoring potential.
