Do people just pick guys they want and make a trade without even looking at the team they're trading with. Why would Dallas want 2 D back in return for Marchment when they already have 7 under contract all better than these 2?

yeah its a Leafs fan making this so they don't have great knowledge of any of the teams involved. Jackets acquiring 2 more wingers and not moving any is a guaranteed "no." The lines aren't great imo, Voronkov needs to be waived to go to the AHL I believe (he'll start on the roster). I could be wrong but I don't think that Swayman would be that cheap for a 4yr deal.

The Swayman trade and signing at 3m AAV is laughable. Why on Earth would the Bruins throw their goalie of the future for a second round pick and an undersized D prospect? And that AAV is way below the nearest comps (Hart, Oettenger, Knight).

Voronkov doesn't need to be waived. He does have a clause on his contract that states he can return to the KHL if he's not on the NHL roster by December.
