If your moving from 10 to 5 you arent getting 31st back. Even then its prpbably a decline from the habs

what is the value for getting 2 late first rounder for your 31st?
I think it is close with moving ahead from 10 to 5?
you still pick top 10.
and add a 1st round pick No22nd

Youre applying draft pick value without the context of the Habs wanting to move up and not down. So to move down, it would have to be such an overpay that it is worth it

You are also assuming that the Blues do want to move up, which I highly doubt they'd want to move up unless Smith was on the board and if Smith's on the board i'm not sure the Habs should move down.
