This ones always tough because GIbson's reputation has endured the mudslide that is ANA defense.

On the other hand, its kind of deranged if someone asks for prime assets for a goalie on his contract with his save %.

Idk, I assume someone would beat this offer, but probably not by much.

Rangers would take that and run. But all honesty, they would need to add a 4th or 5th round pick themselves

1 out of 10

Myers for FC is whatever

Paying anything for Goodrow is funny

Why would we trade away our starting goalie for nothing essentially?

Missing at least a mil on Terry Drysdale and Comtois

Lines are pretty wild, feels like Dallas Eakins is still here with those

They would need to add much much more than a 4th or 5th lol

Just a few thoughts:
-Don't pay for Myers...If the Canucks want to dump that $6 mil cap hit, they can pay for it.
-Same same with Goodrow...4 years of a 30+ year old bottom 6 forward that frees up (very) valuable cap space for a team that will struggle to sign their current RFA's should be something that a team needs to pay to get rid of.
-I don't know with Gibby. I don't want to move him, and I don't see the return being worth it. I've seen the rumors that he potentially wants to be moved, but it's been 4 years of those at this point. I'm also not sure why Buffalo would be horned up to do it, since Levi *Could/Should* take the crease full time by 2024. Big cap hit for a guy to split games or potentially end up as the backup.
-I don't dislike the idea of Kulikov taking a second run, but I'd imagine that one of Minty/Zellweger likely get a shot out of camp, though I'm not a huge fan of starting the season with 2 rookies on the left side...I don't know...My fingers are crossed that we add a scoring forward over adding a d-man (Moving Vats down to the 3rd line, which, with no Goodrow, opens up a spot to hopefully do that.

Cheers!

This is basically the 32nd place team "running it back". Meaning they'll be 32nd to 29th again.

I'm a big proponent of being patient and letting the prospects develop and all of that but seriously if they can't find a better trio of defensemen to sign than Kulikov, Shattenkirk and Myers us fans are in for a MISERABLE season.

I think Kulikov is fine to bring back to play 2nd pairing as Drysdale's partner. If our defense improves to the point where he is now the problem, were back to having a relatively solid defense.

If we take Meyers, we just going to have to suffer with him being Fowlers linemate for a season. I think we need a decent payment ot suffer through that instead of signing someone good.

Goodrow has no spot here. If NY wants him gone it's a significant payment. We have plenty of bottom 6 players already.

The Gibson trade is just brutal, were paying Buffalo in this trade. UPL hasn't even shown he is NHL quality yet.

There's some other small lineup changes I would make as well, but it's been covered by other Anaheim fans.

I don’t know why everyone makes Goodrow out to be the worst player in the league. He’s a 30 point 3rd line center/winger and great PKer (would be top 10 in points on that roster)

He's barely better than Derek Grant and gets paid 2M more than Grant did. And he's signed for 4 more seasons which is big commitment to a bottom 6 forward that is pushing past 30. Nobody is hating on Goodrow but you'd have to be blind to think that contract is OK.

I never said the contract was good, but to think goodrow needs a 1st/2nd/3rd round pick as a sweetener is a bit crazy lol

Dickenson cost Vancouver a 2nd last year to move and he had a 2x2.6 cap hit plus they had to take Stillman back. Moving cap costs good picks. I'm making no predictions and have no cares about where Goodrow goes, so take this as an observation from a neutral 3rd party fan and nothing more.

Then I guess if that’s the cost, me personally I’d rather buy him out and deal with it down the road when the cap goes up a lot more

What happens if Fantili takes 2C from McTavish? Will McTavish be moved to LW or is a trade beginning with Lafrenière, Lindgren and a No.1 a possibility?
