PIT declines and counters with no retention on Campbell and Granlund instead of DeSmith.

Silly indeed. Pens say no or counter with Granlund and no retention on Campbell.

Lots of veteran cover is good. However, I'd like to see Broberg in a full time role next year (as would Ken Holland), so I would either trade Kulak or not sign Schenn, moving Kulak to the right side. Also, there's no way Desharnais clears waivers, so signing Schenn is more costly than it looks on the surface.

Also, why not sign Brown to league minimum (or close) with bonuses that spill over to next year? The cap is set to rise a lot next season, and that gives you enough cap space to offer Bouchard the Dobson contract: $4M x 3.

I can't see the Pens saying yes for anything short of a 1st. He isn't bad but 5MM for 4 more seasons for a backup goalie is hard to swallow.

Definite oversight on Vinny D, would still like to see Schenn and lose Grant.

I choose to go $2M (assumed bonuses still) on Brown as it sounds like there will be plenty of interest on the player. Higher base salary may be required in order to land the player.
As for Bouchard, Bob S has mentioned time and time again he thinks 1-2 years $3.0M to $3.5M

Its funny because there has been a few PIT AGMs that had Campbell going with retention and not including Granlund.

i'm sure there have been, but they're also silly for even doing that.

As opposed to a few in here, if the pens have no plan in bringing back Jarry or going after a big name goalie, I would do this if you added a mid level propspect

Did they trade anything else with him? I had an ACGM where I traded for him and didn't include Granlund. I also included a 2024 1st and 2nd with him. That contract is brutal.
