It’s not bad but it feels light for Philly. Only getting first and two solid prospects for TK Hart and Sanheim is pretty light

You think San Jose will retain $5.5 mil on Konecny, retain over $3 mil a year for EIGHT years on sanheim, which also fills up their retention slots, and take on Foegle for a 1st in 3 years and a 3rd? Fkn hell

So 90% of Edmonton's prospect pool for Sanheim, Hart, and TK. Sharks say hell no to taking on 3 mil of retention for eight years.

I'm not sure how this trade doesn't fail the registry's checklist. You're trading 2023 picks which means it takes place before the 2023 draft and you have the Sharks retaining on two contracts. The Sharks are already retaining on Burns and Meier's deals. Meier's comes off the books on July 1st but that's after the draft.

As others have said, no way the Sharks take this trade. This would make the Sharks unable to weaponize their cap space for any other trades and they wouldn't be able to retain to move Karlsson which makes him all but impossible to move.
