Trades
1.
VAN
  1. Brodie, TJ
Additional Details:
Honestly it's a dumb trade but I'm just going off of this information which I speculate might have something to it, or else why would he be willing to put his neck out like that for such a dumb take. Although if this is the case then this beats buying out TJ Brodie.
TOR
  1. 2024 4th round pick (NJD)
Additional Details:
Instead of buying him out and costing you 2.5 million next year you trade him and get an asset back.
2.
VAN
  1. 2024 3rd round pick (BUF)
BUF
  1. Myers, Tyler ($3,000,000 retained)
Additional Details:
This is speculative on my end but I have a tough time believing that NHL wouldn't want a top 6 NHL dman who is physical and is 6'8".
3.
VAN
  1. Sissons, Colton
Additional Details:
like sissons but I'ma be honest I'm not to aware of where his trade value is but 30 points in 82 games leads me to believe hed be getting a good prospect and a mid round pick.

I'd be interested to see if anyone would have a different proposal for this particular trade.
NSH
  1. McDonough, Aidan
  2. 2023 3rd round pick (TOR)

If that's the case, does this mean the Canucks are not an NHL team?

Link where Seraveli wonders about a Brodie buyout but I don't think he brings this up unprompted, my guess he may have heard some rumblings among execs.

I think seraveli is just trying to get clicks , I don’t think there’s any real basis to it. I couldn’t see them doing that

Even Servo is walking it back because it is so obviously BS.

Brodie has been one of the best DFDs in the NHL, it would be insane to even think about this

Same thing happened with Bob MacKenzie 5 or 6 years ago when he speculated that Jeff Carter's contract kinda had an unofficial NTC built into it. He said on TV that Carter could threaten to retire instead of accept a trade out of LA, and the recapture penalty from one of the few remaining pre-CBA contracts would absolutely kill the Kings. He presented it as a "Hey, isn't this interesting," but that didn't stop the internet from turning that into "JEFF CARTER SAID HE'LL RETIRE IF THE KINGS TRY AND TRADE HIM!!!!!!"

I didn't see the original "rumor" so I'm not saying he didn't say it, but it wouldn't be the first time the internet took a quote out of context and turned it into something that wasn't intended.

I think this was more of Servo being salty that no one in Toronto talks to him. He has been doing sh1t like this all year. His fall from grace has been insane to watch

No they aren’t. Do you believe everything you hear on the internet? They would buy out Murray way before Brodie.

NSH likely declines. That said it is probably close for Sissons. Sissons is more of a defensive forward and is deployed in spots where any offense is generated by breaking out of the defensive zone. He's pretty good in face-off's and that is likely why. If there was another 3rd or 4th round pick that would likely be closer.

Buffalo declines

Also Tyler Myers is not physical; he's big but softer than warm butter 90% of the time. Get him pissed off and he might at least do some physical plays but they are few and far between.
