I like the thought of it, but I don’t think there’s a snowballs chance in hell NSH lets Saros go. But the Pesce deal I like a lot. I doubt they’d take both Joki and Bryson tho, probably just Joki

I think with no first going for pesce (besides Rosen being a recent mid first), you probably have to upgrade Bryson, who nobody wants, to something different, maybe one of our Russian prospects, or weissbach, something with more potential.

Bryson could slot in CAR 3LHD or he becomes their 7th dman
I don't think your recently signed Russian prospect or Weissbach cut it either

Nope. Don't want Joki either. If it came to it, we want a different trade partner.

Bryson was all kinds of bad last year. I was pulling for him initially, but he got stomped last year. It's possible that he would be OK in a structured system, but honestly at this point I see him clearing waivers and playing in the ahl. We have several Russian prospects, a couple are second round picks. What I'm saying is- I would offer another piece that has value, but not another ostlund/kulich/peterka piece, the next tier down includes rousek, weissbach, Brett Murray, and a few Russian prospects. Not all prospects drafted after round one are worthless.

Dude I know that, I though you were mentionning the defenseman you just signed, formers 6th & 7th rounders if I remember correctly
Fair enough to replace Bryson for a decent Russian prospect

NSH is willing to let go of Saros for the right price. This isn't quite it, but it is close. It is low, especially with Lauzon added in. NSH would likely need the BUF 2023 2nd round in on top of the current package, and they would likely ask for some retention on Olofsson. Somewhere between 1.5-2 million. Or If it was the BUF 2024 1st instead of the 2023 2nd, then NSH likely doesn't ask for that much retention though.
