No from Isles, not interested in moving Wahlstrom and Fasching just signed an extension.

Fasching and Wahlstrom are plenty gritty. I like Colton but I don't think we should pay this price. Would rather have Fasching at the league minimum and Wahlstrom and a cheap contract with the hopes of strong development next season.

Then why did he acquire Horvat and Engvall last year who both are not gritty players.

He likes grit on his bottom six, he added the two you mentioned for top 6 duties

They already have Clutterbuck, Martin, Czizkas, Johnston (not sure he really counts), Pageau. They don’t need bottom 6 help, they need Wahsltrom to play like he did before he was hurt and score 20+ goals and Fasching to chip in 10-15 again.

Two issues with the Anaheim trade. First, why would Comtois sign a 1 year contract that is half his QO? Maybe he does if he really likes Tampa or feels like he'd get less on the open market but that sticks out as wishful thinking.

Second, Tampa fans love sending Myers to Anaheim and it just doesn't work for us. He's an AHL defender making double what he should. I'll re-sign Sustr and/or Harrington way before I trade for Myers. Both those guys would take a 750k deal without much doubt.

Dumb answer so dumb response : yeah Comtois would take less than his QO offer to play on a team like Tampa Bay

I think you are blind and don’t see the picks going to ANA
You only have Drysdale as a RHD, Myers could take the 3RHD spot and it helps ANA to reach the floor

I'm not impressed by a 3rd in 2025, it is insignificant towards Anaheim's rebuild. If the pick was in 2023 it would certainly matter.

Anaheim has zero concern with the cap floor. Spending in the ball park of 16M on Zegras, Terry and Drysdale will make sure of that.

Myers was waived and cleared twice last season. He is an AHL defender and the entire league knows it.

The Ducks could also sign someone in free agency to play 3RD without trading a young forward away.

I think the Flyers would be better to hold onto Seeler until the TDL when the cap hit is prorated. If the Flyers retain 50%, his cap hit would be 83,334. He might not be as name-branded (or as good) as Gavrikov, Chairot, etc. but I think the extremely low cap hit would make him very valuable to any team that is using LTIR to have cap compliance
