Description

I would give Hellebyuck a 4 year, 8MM AAV max. If he wants more than that then he’s not a Devil. We need to hold cap space open to sign Luke, Dawson, Simon, etc to bridge or long term deals once their ELCs expire.

Not sure on the trade value either way. I don’t think Hellebyuck demands a kings ransom. While he’s one of the leagues best, he’s 30 and probably one the decline of his career.

You realize this trade does nothing for Winnipeg right? A third if not fourth liner, an average goalie, and a late first round pick.

Winnipeg would likely want Holtz instead of Sharangovich. Holtz has more value, and the team needs right shots. He fits that bill.

I am guessing the trade will be mostly goalies and picks.

Maybe Sharangovich or Boqvist from roster
..or Fillmon, Hauser, Clarke from off roster

But guys like Holtz, Nemec, Hughes, Mercer, Gritsyuk won't be in there.

Holtz or Clarke. I’d assume Holtz is the guy they’d want more though.

Goalie trades are weird, man. Especially for a rental. There is very rarely high-end pieces getting returned.
