So the rental price of Matthews is Byfield, Kupari, 1st, 3rd. With a conditional 1st if he reups.

So the Kings are expected to make this trade knowing there’s a chance he walks, as hinted by your re-sign condition? (Which btw, have been abolished for a few years now)

Easy no from LA. They’ll just wait to pursue him in free agency.

Kings don't have that kind of space from what I can recall

I'm pretty sure the kings are one of the teams that could sign him as a UFA

Did the cap ceiling go up this season to $93.5 million without my noticing it? Because that's what it would take for us to be able to absorb Matthews' cap hit AND fill the newly-created roster spot.

Next season, on the other hand, we'll be able to offer Auston $100 million over 7 years.
