Parise no, Schneider/ Kinkaid I wouldn't mind as a 3rd goalie. Get someone familiar with the system, willing to play in the AHL, mentor Daws, and sit on the bench for a couple games in case of injury while letting Daws play in the AHL.

Quick would be ideal (playoff experience) but don't know if he want to sign with the Devils and would have to carry 3 goalies I'd think.

Quick will be pricey... and Daws has enough NHL experience to be a vet for younger guys like Brennan and/or anyone else that will be in the pipeline. It may not be enough for some but the fact that we had 7 fookin goalies 2 seasons ago we gave out a lot of experience to our rookies/acquistions. Kinkaid is a great locker room guy but I think we gotta stick to our playbook.

Why would the Hawks trade away an asset for Blackwood when they already have Mrazek, SODERBLOM, Commesso, Stauber and Weekes in the system? They would have too many goalies and not enough organizational positions for them all to play. They could of course move one out or shuffle players around for it all to work but there would need to be incentive to do so, a frequently hurt and inconsistent Blackwood does not provide that incentive, especially when the Hawks are being asked to trade a pick for him.

I just prefer a veteran goalie in the AHL if you can get one.


Also if I remember correctly I was drunk and hated the Subban trade. In hindsight Shero did decent but I think he tried to jumpstart the rebuild to quickly and took 1 step forward 2 steps back, but it did get the Devils Hughes soo...

Nico, Jack, Bratt, got Taylor Hall for nothing (sorry Adam still love you) in which led to us getting Siegs and Mercer, Bahl, McLeod, and Bastian…. That’s a pretty decent size of our lineup right there
